Non-Performing Advances are marginally up in 2Q among the Bankings

Stage 3 Loans to Total Loans and Advances in the banking sector formally known as NPLs has increased from 8.5% to 9.0% in 2Q 2022. The economic growth was negative 8.4% in 2Q and it is estimated to fall by 9.2% for the year 2022 as per the world bank.

This downward trend in economic growth will further increase the NPLs in Banking sector in the next quarter as well.
