CBSL failed to sell target volume of T-Bills at the primary auction after four weeks

The T-bill rates were held on the same level 91Days 20.7%, 182Days 21.90% and 364Day 22.04% at the primary auction today. But CBSL was not able to sell targeted 93Bn and fell short of LKR 62.2Bn. The total T-Bill liability on coming Friday was LKR 125.7Bn, where market maturities accounted for LKR 64.6Bn. The total value of the bids submitted by Banks and EPF also fell less than LKR 200Bn first time after four weeks.
