Change in the weather pattern from dry to wet increase the hydro electricity generation

The increase in rainfall across the island since the beginning of April has led to a significant improvement in hydroelectricity generation, rising from 25% to 35% of the total generation. Conversely, power generation from thermal fuel has declined from 27% to 18% during the same period. This shift indicates a notable reliance on hydroelectricity as a renewable energy source, potentially alleviating strain on thermal fuel resources.
