A significant portion of transactions, approximately 68%, were reported in the price category between LKR 25 million to LKR 50 million. Conversely, transactions reported in the price category below LKR 25 million experienced a notable decline during the fourth quarter of 2023.

Despite this trend, there was marginal growth observed in the real estate sector, as indicated by the gross domestic production of the country in the last quarter of 2023. This suggests a mixed performance in the real estate market, with certain price categories seeing robust activity while others experience a slowdown.
