Inconsistency of the policy damages investor sentiments, an inherent issue in Sri Lanka

One of the major claims of the previous regime was the inconsistency of policy adopted by the government it changed abnormally faster speed. Media reports that the The Gazette notification allowing the import of several spices, including pepper and turmeric, for re-exporting has been revoked.

In a proposal submitted to the Cabinet on December 6, the Ministry of Investment Promotion has permitted to import of the spices for re-export. The extraordinary gazette was issued to that effect on 10th March, but now it was revoked.
