Latest revision of government revenue put Sri Lanka par with IMF requirement of Rev/GDP

Upward revision of the government revenue estimate for 2023 from LKR 2.8Tn to LKR 3.1Tn have place Sri Lanka in par with IMF project requirement for revenue over GDP. Earlier estimate of Government revenue was 10.1% of GDP, which has now revised to 11.2%.

Previously the revenue has been under estimated by around LKR 276Bn while nominal GDP had been over estimated by close to LKR 300Bn as per the information revealed by State Minister for Finance, Mr. Shehan Semasinghe. Official reports are yet to publish.
