The Sunday Morning reported that the Paris Club consortium is still waiting for the final agreement reached between Sri Lanka and China’s Exim Bank for restructuring USD 4.2Bn Sri Lanka’s debt before giving the green light to restructure their debts.
Sri Lanka and China’s Exim Bank reached the agreement three weeks ago, but have yet to disclose the details of the content of the agreement. Media reported further, “The Government (Sri Lanka) has already requested the Chinese side for permission to share the agreement with the Paris Club, but there has not been any response yet,” the source explained”
