Sri Lanka concluded the DDR/DDO after restructuring the CBSL credits to the Government

CBSL states, that it has restructured the credit given to the government by purchasing T-Bills at the primary market (formally known as money printing) and provisional advancers given to the government. CBSL’s printed money as of 20th Sep was LKR 2.5 trillion and it had provided provisional advancers of LKR 343Bn as of the end of June.

CBSL carried out the debt restructuring as of the 21st of September. The total exchange as per the CBSL statement was LKR 2.7 trillion.
