Foreign holdings of government securities fell slightly

Attractive interest rates and possible asset appreciation have motivated foreigners to invest in Sri Lanka LKR-denominated debt papers offered by the SL government. The growth of the investment has been stalled but they are holding in to it. The stable currency would allow them to keep it as it is for the long run.
