CBSL to sell a recorded amount of T-Bills once again as T-Bond Coupons liabilities emerge

CBSL has offered a record LKR 180Bn amount of T-bills at next week’s auction as the market maturities are mounting along with T-Bond coupons that are falling due on 1st August. CBSL is yet to announce a T-bond auction to raise funds to repay T-bond coupons.

Next CBSL monetary policy is expected to be announced on 24th August, followed by 5th October. Much bigger T-Bond principle maturities close to LKR 220Bn are scheduled to be maturing on 1st September.
