Sri Lanka hydroelectricity generations fell in June-July 2023 compared to last year

Uninterrupted electricity generation is key for economic growth as well as the smooth functioning of public life. The cost of electricity depends on the composition of the sources. Sri Lanka seems to face a higher cost of electricity generation in June -July compared to last year as the contribution of the hydroelectricity generation is lower compared to last year.
