The Government's domestic borrowing cost has started to come down

Domestic debt and its interest component have become a concern to the monetary authorities, which pilled up since the second half of 2022. T-bill auction rates started to fall in November 2022 but overall borrowing costs only started to reduce from May 2023 onwards.

The government had to reissue T-Bills in order to settle the interest component of T-bills which were already issued along with the T-Bonds along with SLDBs settlements.
