CBSL sold LKR 85Bn (target amount) at the 1st phase of the T-bill auction successfully for the second consecutive week. At the second phase of the T-Bill auction, further LKR 21.2Bn T-Bills were sold allowing CBSL to reduce their T-Bill holding from LKR 2.622 Trillion to LKR 2.604 Trillion.

Market liquidity has improved, due to negative credit growth in the bank system and CBSL’s continuous FX purchases.
