Media reported that the postal voting for the 2023 local government election has been postponed until further notice, as per the Election Commissioner General. It was said that SPC has refused to issue ballot papers for postal voting, citing they have not received funding from Treasury as of now.

The postal voting for LG was planned to carry out on 22, 23, and 24th February and the election is scheduled to be held on March 9.
