CBSL as the lender of the last resort used to supply liquidity to the capital market to maintain the smooth functioning of the financial transaction. CBSL lends market from overnight basis to term basic. CBSL borrowing from the market on the other hand lends to the market to iron out the mismatch.

The term rate is around 30% for one month to 90 days., whereas CBSL borrows from the market (on behalf of the government) for 91 Days T-Bill rate at 33%.
