Sri Lanka MSCI USD return is positive during September, despite it is negative YTD

Fewer imports and a controlled float of LKR indicate a stability of the USD/LKR for the last couple of months. The LKR-based local ASPI returned to the positive territory in July and in September it gained 9.5%. Despite the USD return of MSCI Sri Lanka’s loss of 61% on YTD, it gained in September on months to date basis.
