The global fuel prices have slashed nearly 30% from the peak that was seen three months ago. Sri Lanka rushed to implement the domestic fuel price formula to pass down the rising cost to the consumers. Despite the fuel price formula in place to adjust the prices dynamically, Government is silent on the price reduction.

Previously, Government nodded for price revision to take place 1st and 15th of every month, September it did not revise the prices.
