Poll Results: Majority expect USD/LKR to stabilized at current level by end of August

The monthly poll on USD/LKR levels among the public revealed, that 45% of the surveyed respondents expect it would be in the range of Rs. 350 to 375 while 34% expect it could jump over Rs. 375. Throughout 2022, the majority of the public expected sizable depreciation of the exchange.

USD/LKR was 201 by end of last year and CBSL kept it at the same level for two months and left it to swing in march and it was Rs. 300 at the end of March. April it further depreciated to Rs. 341 and end of June it is at the level Rs. 361.
