One out of three-persons in Sri Lanka is computer literate by 2021

The overall computer literacy improved from 32.3% to 34.3% in 2021, while households having a computer in western province elevated from 35.1% to 36.5%, Uva from 11.9% to 13.4% and Eastern it fell from 12.6% to 11.9%. The upward trend of National computer literacy had accelerated since 2019.

On the other hand, having a desktop or laptop computer is still available for 22.9% of households. That has not been improved over the last few years and has seen significant disparity among provinces.
