Sri Lanka stocks jumped 3.13% ASPI and 4.14% on S&P SL 20 with new hope

The Sri Lanka stock index ASPI jumped by 3.13% and more liquid S&P SL 20 up by 4.14% the day after the public storm into key government places and forced the president and PM to resign. But turnover was still less than LKR 1,000Mn. The market capitalization surpassed LKR 3Triilion after it fell below the millstone four days before.

Foreigners were net buyers of LKR 3.3Mn, which is less than LKR 1Bn by today. They were net sellers of LKR 52Bn in 2021.
