91Days T-bill rate was 28.08%, 182Days 28.74% and 364Days jumped to 28.11% at the primary auction where 83% of the bids at the auction were accepted. Within the last two auctions, the rates were up by 7%. The bids to the auction have been on a declining path and CBSL has to increase the rates to avoid money printing.

Inflation has been rising and crossing 50% for the first time in history while market o/n liquidity is negative of LKR 650Bn
