ASPI fell by 1.6% and more liquid S&P SL 20 fell by 2.21% pulling down the index well bellow two month level. The market capitalization also fell below LKR 3Bn 4th time this year so far. But net foreign inflow of LKR 20Mn was witness for the second day.

Uncertainty on the time line of the economic bailout of IMF and the mounting pressures on the President and PM to resign are weighting on the stock index.
