Central Bank continue to be net seller of foreign exchange in April
CBSL used to purchase FX from the market thanks to the mandatory conversion rule imposed on commercial banks. CBSL managed to buy USD 141Mn worth of FX from the market but had to sell USD 245Mn in the month of April. This was the seventh consecutive month that CBSL was a net seller of FX despite its intentions to be a net buy of FX to build the reserves.
