CBSL kept key interest rate unchanged

CBSL has decided to keep the interest rate unchanged SDFR 13.50% and SLFR 14.50% which is CBSL deposit rate and lending rate to Banks & PDs. Authorities are expecting the interest rates to moderate and stabilize at lower levels in the period ahead. Further they expect, Inflation to remain elevated in the coming months before moderating. But external sector ( import and exports) continues to face heightened challenges and GDP is expected to setback in this year.
