CBSL is successfully pulling back the Treasury Bill rates at primary auction
The 91Days T-bills rate fell from 22.75% to 21.91% while 182Days T-bill fell from 23.60% to 22.89%. The 364Days bill also fell from 23.75% to 23.13%. CBSL managed to re-finance its entire T-bill liability on Friday (Market maturity) and refrain from printing more money. Further, CBSL sold LKR 30Bn worth of 364Days T-Bills which is a significant improvement against previous auctions which were not successful in attracting investors for longer tenor maturities.
