Majority of the pubic and field experts expect over 5% interest rate hike today at Monetary Policy Review
The public poll conducted by feedback.lk revealed that majority (53%) of the public and 51% of the respondents who engaged in field of finance believe there will be minimum of 5% interest rate increase will be on the card. The treasury bill rates have jumped over 3.0% to 4.5% after pervious rate hike as of now. In order to reduce the money printing and stabilized the domestic currency the rate increase is required.
