Indian Oil company raises fuel prices once again to new record high
Lanka IOC has once again decided to increase its prices for petrol and diesel with effect from mid-night today 17th April 2022. Company says the price of all types of petrol has been increased by Rs. 35 per litre and diesel by Rs. 75 per litre. This price increase would expand the price difference between LIOC and government control CPC. CPC suffers a loss of LKR 110 for diesel litre and LKR 52 for petrol litre as a result of the current depreciation of the rupee against the USD, which will resulted in LKR 800- 1000 Mn loss per day.
