CBSL stated that they have withdrawn the previously proposed fixed exchange rate of Rs. 202 and allow it to determine by the market forces. But it has proposed new exchange rate guidance at Rs. 230. But many economists and the public do not believe it is sufficient enough to resolve the foreign currency crisis. The majority of the public (45%) and the majority of the market experts (53%) expect it should be around Rs. 250 to Rs. 270.
