Public expect CBSL to rise the interest rate at monetary policy meeting tomorrow

The majority of the people including industry experts suggest CBSL will increase the interest rate minimum of 0.25% at tomorrow's monetary policy meeting. CBSL allowed T-bill rates to jumped by 0.70% to 1.40% at yesterday's primary auction.

This looks to be very long overdue as investors have not accepted the 364Days TBills for a long time and CBSL has not been able to sell a sizeable quantity of 364days Bills to investors. IMF today recommended a tight monetary policy stance as inflation is to persist over 10% in 2022.
