Sri Lanka recorded over USD 100Mn foreign exchange income from tourism in January

Tourism is one of the important sectors for Sri Lanka to earn foreign exchange. The sector was badly hit by the ester terrorist attack in 2019 and COVID19 in 2020 and 21. After continuous effort and aggressive promotions implemented by SLTDA and the relaxation of the travel restriction, Sri Lanka tourism has shown some recovery from the latter part of 2021 and it's expected to continue in 2022 as well.
