The rates of the Treasury Bill rates rose at the first primary auction held at PDD today, 91Days bills up from 8.16% to 8.26%, and 364Days 8.24% to 8.39% while 182days rate fell from 8.33% to 8.30%. CBSL managed to sell the entire target amount at the auction but the majority of the bids accepted was 91Days LKR 71Bn while 182Days LKR 2.4Bn.

For the second consecutive week, CBSL managed to sell only LKR 998Mn of the 364Days bills. CBSL T-Bill maturities are polarising towards the short end since March 2021
