Sri Lanka stock market was first to react and reached the highest level for the year 2019 after the election win of Mr, Gotabaya Rajapaksa. Domestic currency LKR also recovered and LKR has appreciated by 2% on YTD. Sri Lanka had planned to issue Samurai Bond equivalent to $ 500Mn before the end of this month. CBSL governor had indicated SL will require $3bn for each year till 2022 in order to meet foreign currency debt obligations.
