Sri Lanka Rupee hit 200 per USD for the first time in the history due to the mounting pressure of insufficient reserves if the situation escalates further, Europe is the top region for our exports which is under massive COVID-19 spread, high uncertainty of inflow from tourism for a much longer period, a further slowdown of Middle-east will influence lower worker remittances and many more.. But LKR has been under pressure for some times due to the domestic economic issues when compared with peer countries.
