Pressure on LKR eased off and CBSL was buying FX in May
Covid19 influenced to have lower FX inflows to the country as exports, tourism, and worker remittances fell significantly from February. CBSL has been a net seller in March & April of USD 174 & USD 94 Mn to ease off the pressure on LKR. But the official data indicates CBSL has been a net buyer of FX in May amounted to USD 61.5 Mn.
