Emerging Market Currencies suffering badly, while Asian Frontier markets managing in so far this year
The Brazilian real, the South African rand and the Turkish lira have lost more than 20% of their value against the dollar this year, while the Russian ruble and the Mexican peso also have dropped significantly. The rebound is narrowing coronavirus-induced losses has put Asia currencies ahead of those EMs. But Philippine peso is by far the best-performing currency in 2020.
