Cryptocurrency trading surged in Sri Lanka, first four months of 2021
The cryptocurrency trading volume in 2021 has more than tripled compared to 2020 in Sri Lanka (Handagama,2021). The trading volumes have increased across the emerging market as per Stagg, director of communications at Paxful, which is a P2P bitcoin trading platform. But CBSL has issued multiple warnings concerning the use of cryptocurrencies within Sri Lanka.
