Popular opinion is that CBSL may leave the interest rates unchanged at policy meeting
The fifth monetary policy meeting is expected to release a statement on 8th July. A majority of 44% of the respondents believe that CBSL will not make amendments to the current interest rate structure, while 40% feel that there will be an increase of interest rates by at least 0.25%. According to the opinion survey, expectations on rising rates are becoming higher.
