Sri Lanka seems to be stagnated at rank 82 from 2016 to 2019 in the Global Talent Competitiveness Index 2019. Most of the other peer countries have progressed during the last four years. Sri Lanka has progressed in Vocational and Technical Skills (or VT skills) , Global Knowledge Skills (or GK skills) and Retaining talent but dramatically fallen in Attracting talent in terms of luring foreign valuable resources and enable the talent expansion.
