Sri Lanka Colombo Port has handled 7.05 TEU Mn volume of the transactions during 2018, which is up from 6.21 TEU Mn in 2017. Colombo Port, that has been ranked 31st place in 2011, abled to move 24th place in 2018. The first place is in Shanghai, China (42.01 TEU mn) while the second is Singapore (36.6 TEU Mn). 3rd,4th & 5th placers also gained by Chinese ports.
