Global fear surged reflecting Volatility index VIX hits highest since 2011
Cboe Volatility Index, better known as VIX which measures the risk of the market and called a “fear gauge” has peaked. As the virus spread, the VIX soared. Stocks plunge in the worst sell-off in years. All the MSCI indexes across the globe have fallen down miserably so far this year. US 10 Treasuries attracting funds and yields down below 1.00% (0.962%), Gold and silver prices are higher in early U.S. futures trading Tuesday. The crude oil price fell fearing global economic slowdown.
