Sri Lanka has ranked 64th out of 107 countries in the Global Hunger Index (GHI) 2020 surpasses other South Asian countries like India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. Sri Lanka has been able to reduce the level of hunger during the last 20 years. But still, the country is in the moderate stage. Wasting, or low weight for height is one indicator that Sri Lanka has not been able to improve to the desired level.
