Southeast Asian economies ranked as the worst places to be with COVID19
Bloomberg Covid Resilience Ranking provides a monthly representation of where the virus is being handled the most effectively with the least social and economic disruption. Scandinavian nations have administered enough shots to cover 60% of their population, kept fatalities very low and opened their borders to vaccinated travellers. Low death rates, quick vaccine rollouts and an embrace of travel put the Netherlands and Finland second and third. August’s Ranking Southeast Asian economies are at the bottom five, a region that’s emerged as a new virus epicentre recording the world’s highest monthly death toll per capita.
