The PCR testing is gradually reducing in Sri Lanka despite average positive rate is above 10 pct

The average number of PCR tests done in Sri Lanka topped 25,000 in mid May. But it did not last long and fell below 20,000 since end of 1st week of June. The current 7day average PCR tests are little over 18,000. Country carried out average PCR tests of 17,000 in January this year when the case load was 800 and the positive rate at less than 5%. Current average positive rate is 12.8%.
