Massive time gap between first and second dose of Sputnik vaccinations
Sri Lanka started to use Sputnik Vaccine from 6th May 2021 and first dose was given till 18th July for 159,081 people. The second dose of the vaccine started to provide from 14th June, five weeks after providing first dose, but it was only provided to 14,516 people. For last seven weeks none of the people who received first dose have received the second dose of the vaccine.
