COVID19 Deaths among 70 to 79 females are rising
The COVID19 female deaths accounted for 43% of the total deaths in Sri Lanka. Age 70 to 79 is the high-risk age category among both males and females which accounted for 34% of the total deaths. Further, the percentage of female deaths in age 70 to 79 has been rising while the percentage of male deaths in the age 50 to 59 also has slightly increased in recent months.
