JVP voter base impact on Presidential Election held on 2015
During the 2015 presidential election, JVP support NDF candidate Mr. Maithripala Sirisena against Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksha. NDF candidate won by 449,072 votes. Very next Parliamentary election, JVP obtained 553,578 votes. This time JVP is contesting the presidential election by filling their own candidate. Is NDF front is strong as they were in 2015 compared to 2019 to counter with an additional 4.5 % votes?
