The Number of quarterly HIV cases doubled during the last 6 years in Sri Lanka
HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, is one of the world’s most serious public health challenges. There were approximately 37.9 Mn people across the globe with HIV/AIDS in 2018. The growth of HIV reported cases has been growing at a rate of 12% in Sri Lanka. Approximately 79% of people with HIV globally knew their HIV status in 2018.
