Dengue cases were escalated towards the end of the calendar year 2019, which would have been due to the continuous rain that lasts for an extended number of months in 2019. The total number of dengue cases was recorded as 104,366 in 2019 which is the second-highest for the last 10 years. The highest dengue cases were recorded in 2017 amounted to 186,101.
