Global COVID-19 cases surpass one million and death over 50,000
The USA and France recorded over 1,000 death yesterday while total confirmed cases cross 1 million. In hard-hit Spain, the death toll rose to 13,915 and Spain to 10,348. Spreading has increased in many small European countries. Sri Lanka curve was somewhat similar to Singapore and Hong Kong earlier but now it is more closer to the Vietnam inflection curve. Heavy intervention to restrict public gathering has to be resulting in the low spreading in Sri Lanka. But many have urged to increase the number of tests to screen the possible patients even without symptoms, which was the early success story of South Korea, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
