Sri Lanka significantly deviate from Vietnam curve
Last five days Sri Lanka traced 88 COVID-19 cases from second and third rings related to previous clusters as well as new clusters. The number of tests has been done per day has increased and random sample testing has also begun from yesterday onwards on selected high-risk areas. A study has found viral load in throat swabs at the time of symptom onset and inferred that infectiousness peaked on or before symptom onset. They further state 44% of secondary cases were infected during the index cases’ presymptomatic stage, in settings with substantial household clustering, active case finding, and quarantine outside the home.
